 A range of groups are running throughout the January school holidays for the beginning of 2025. See below for more details. 

Groove Makers

Music group for children aged 2-5 who have physical disabilities.

A fun, social class that assists kids to learn the gross motor skills to make music. All of our kids have complex movement challenges. Many are not able to walk yet on their own, some require help to grasp instruments. This class has been adapted by paediatric physiotherapist to suit children with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida and more.

Melodic Movement Master

Dance group for children aged 2-5 who have physical disabilities.

This class provides a dance opportunity for children who often do not get the opportunity to join social classes to move and groove. All activities have been adapted for children who have complex movement challenges by an experienced paediatric physiotherapist. This enables kids to progress in gross motor skills in a fun, social way.

The Motor Squad. 

A fun, gross motor group for children aged 5-10 who have disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy (GMFCS I or II) and more.

Gross motor skills are required for all children. Many children with disabilities have difficulty picking up high level gross motor skills such as ball skills, balance, and coordination. This group is designed for kids who have mild physical disabilities and may struggle with motor planning, sensory processing skills and coordination. Run by a paediatric physiotherapist who has years of experience working with individuals who are non-verbal, complex sensory requirements and coordination disorders. 

This squad runs for 3 sessions on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2pm. This enables the kids to get to know each other across the three days and build on their skills.
