Early Intervention
Intervention at a younger age can ensure better outcomes for your child in the future. Some problems when caught early can be managed before they become a big problem. Our team are skilled at providing high quality advice on how to help your child develop and grow through their early years. We can provide them with strategies on how to work towards the next developmental milestone. We are also familiar with what are some of the risk factors and red flags that can indicate increased disability and pain later in life. We strive to identify these risk factors early and implement strategies to reduce the risk of complications later in life.
Babies grow at a very fast rate and there is a lot of learning and development that occurs in the early years. It is vital to have an experienced practitioner who is familiar with the stages of development and how to assist your child to have the greatest chance of succeeding in life.
School Aged
Children with chronic conditions and disability will require ongoing therapy as they grow and develop. As they get older, there is an increased demand on their cognitive load and physical skills. Our team is experienced in breaking down physical skills into easy to learn steps for children who struggle to keep up with their peers. We can provide strategies to help a child adapt to the demands of a school environment and ensure that precautions are undertaken to reduce the risk of deformity during growth spurts.
Transition to Adulthood.
Therapy is normally concentrated to a child's growing years and disappears the minute they reach adulthood. However, in cases of ongoing condition, it is beneficial to have access to professional advice to assist with transition away from school into the working world and adulthood. Our team believes in assisting young adults with that change from being a dependent into an adult. We strive to enable our clients to be their own advocate and capable of making their own decisions about their care. We work to problem solve their environment so they can operate as a functional member of the community.
