Vivienne WallaPrincipal PhysiotherapistVivienne studied at LaTrobe University and obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Physiotherapy Practice. She has previously worked in Australia and overseas in the area of paediatric disability. She has experience with children with a range of different types of disabilities and severity. She loves working with younger children and families who are going through the process of discovering what diagnosis their child has and what that will mean for their child as they grow. She believes every child should have the opportunity to show the world what they are capable of. She is familiar with working with children with complex communication needs. This can be children who are non-verbal and use alternative and augementative communication devices. She is highly skilled in teaching children and adults movement that is required to communicate, access their communication device and key word sign. These involves working closely with the child's speech pathologist to ensure that your child learns healthy movement patterns to communicate. She is familiar with working with children with significant sensory processing challenges and working closely with the child's occupational therapist to appropriately manage and meet a child's sensory requirements. She is skilled at navigating the NDIS and completing reports and application for equipment and resources. Vivienne loves music, sports, musical theatre and outdoor activities. She has previously completed the Melbourne marathon. She likes to spend her weekends hiking in the Blue Mountains. She is mother to one beautiful boy.
